PRP and PRF Injections

Your own platelets and growth factors, drawn and processed in clinic at the time of treatment.

Blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, which carry the growth factors the body uses to repair tissue. That concentrate is then injected or micro-needled into the treatment area, where it stimulates collagen and improves skin quality over the following weeks. Because the material is yours, nothing synthetic is introduced and there is no product to reject or dissolve. PRF is a second-generation preparation spun more slowly and without anticoagulant, which leaves a fibrin scaffold behind so growth factors release gradually rather than all at once. Under the eye, where hyaluronic acid filler can hold water and puff, PRP and PRF are often the better choice — and where volume is genuinely missing, EZ Gel processed from the same draw can provide it.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

Platelet-rich plasma drawn from your own blood and spun in clinic to concentrate the platelets and the growth factors they carry, then injected or micro-needled into the skin to stimulate collagen and improve texture. Used on the face, under the eyes, across the neck and décolleté, and in the scalp for hair thinning. Nothing synthetic is introduced.

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)

Platelet-rich fibrin, a second-generation preparation of your own blood spun more slowly than PRP and without anticoagulant. The fibrin scaffold that leaves behind releases growth factors gradually rather than all at once, and is also the base from which EZ Gel is processed.

PRP / PRF - Full Face

Your own platelet-rich plasma injected or micro-needled into the face to stimulate collagen and improve skin quality.

PRP / PRF - Under-Eye

Platelet-rich plasma placed beneath the eyes to improve skin quality, texture and dark circles.

PRP / PRF - Neck & Decollete

Platelet-rich plasma treatment for crepey skin on the neck and chest.

Common questions

What is the difference between PRP and PRF?

PRF is spun more slowly and without anticoagulant, which leaves a fibrin scaffold in the preparation. Growth factors release gradually from that scaffold rather than all at once. PRP is the more established preparation; which suits you is a clinical judgement.

Is PRP better than filler under the eyes?

Often, yes — for skin quality, texture and dark circles, and because it avoids the water-holding that can make hyaluronic acid puff in this area. Where genuine volume is missing, filler or EZ Gel may still be needed. A senior injector will tell you which applies.

How many sessions are needed?

A course rather than one treatment, since it works by stimulating your own repair response over time. Your clinician will set the number to your goals at consultation.
