Signalling molecules applied to support regeneration, most often alongside microneedling.
Exosomes are extracellular vesicles that carry signalling molecules between cells. Applied to the skin or scalp, they are used to support the regenerative response, calm inflammation and improve tone. In practice they are most often paired with microneedling, which creates the channels that allow them past the outer layer where topical products otherwise stop — the needling opens the route and the exosomes amplify the healing that follows. We treat the face and neck for tone and laxity, and the scalp to support follicle health alongside PRP. This is an area of active development in aesthetic medicine, and we would rather set expectations conservatively at consultation than oversell what the evidence currently supports.
