Botox and Neurotoxin Injections

Precision neuromodulator treatment across the face and neck, administered only by board-certified physicians.

Neuromodulators temporarily interrupt the signal between nerve and muscle. The repeated contractions that fold skin into expression lines over years soften, and the lines that formed from them follow. Onset is gradual over several days and the effect wears off as nerve signalling returns, which is why treatment is repeated rather than permanent. We hold all four licensed products. Botox, Xeomin and Jeuveau dose one-for-one, so unit counts are directly comparable between them; Dysport requires roughly three of its own units for every one unit of Botox, so we quote it in Botox-equivalent units to keep the comparison honest. Dysport also spreads slightly wider and tends to take effect a day or two sooner, which makes it a reasonable choice for broad areas such as the forehead. Xeomin carries no accessory proteins, and some patients who have stopped responding to Botox prefer it for that reason. Which product suits you is a conversation at consultation, not a price decision.

Common questions

What is the difference between Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and Jeuveau?

All four are botulinum toxin type A and all work the same way. Botox, Xeomin and Jeuveau dose one-for-one, so a 20-unit area is 20 units in any of them. Dysport needs about three of its own units per unit of Botox, so we quote it in Botox-equivalent units to keep it comparable. Dysport spreads a little wider and starts working slightly sooner; Xeomin contains no accessory proteins, which some patients prefer if Botox has stopped working as well for them.

How long does it take to work, and how long does it last?

Most people see the beginning of an effect within three to five days, with the full result at around two weeks. Cosmetic treatment generally lasts three to four months. Masseter treatment often lasts longer, and treatment for excessive sweating commonly holds for six to twelve months.

What is a lip flip?

A few units placed along the upper lip relax the muscle that holds it down, letting the lip roll gently outward so more of it shows. It adds no volume — it changes how much of the lip you already have is visible. It suits someone who wants a subtle change without filler, and it is often combined with lip filler rather than chosen instead of it.

Will my face look frozen?

That is a question of dose and placement rather than of the product. Treatment is planned around how your face actually moves, and a conservative first treatment that is topped up two weeks later is a reasonable way to start if you are cautious.
